Article 50 was executed without having a clear goal. There was no plan. Why the government did not debate the terms of exit before entering in the two years limit? I do not mean debating with the EU. I mean having a proper discussion of what we wanted to achieve and then using the two years to negotiate it. Nobody had a plan. Brexit means Brexit is as meaningless as a windscreen wiper in the backside of a goat.

We have a limited amount of time to gain access to the agreement if there is no deal, thus we'd be in an even weaker position. The US generally dictates trade deals, so we'll have to take whatever they offer.

Last time the Tories fell out over trade was in the 19th century over the corn laws, it took them 28 years before they won power again. More than enough time for somebody like Corbyn or somebody else to radically change the UK.

No. The EU were clear about what they were not prepared to budge on, then May laid down her red lines. Both sides are making it impossible. It's a question of who blinks first to enable a deal be hammered out. If neither side blinks then we get No Deal.
Even if we had done that and all parties agreed, (which I doubt would have ever happened because of the strong remainer camp), what makes you think the EU would have agreed to any of our plan.
Secondly, we would be showing all our cards so we would have had no leverage with the EU.

We have no leverage at all as it is. If we do not know where we want to go there is no road in the world that will take us there. The EU might not have agreed to a clear and concise plan but at least we could have been prepared.
In addition, we did not have to share our plannings with the EU until the time of negotiations so the leverage would have been stronger than walking in the dark without any idea where to go.

Nobody wants to be in her position right now. They know that none of them could survive this, it would have been political suicide.
Our system of government does not require all parties to agree.It requires a majority vote to carry the will of parliament through.Technically it required the Lords too but they proved to be largelyspineless so we can ignore them.

The point we have no leverage has been made again.If we had any we might not be an international laughing stock right now (to be fair putting idiots like Boris in positions of power had much to so with that).

The best solution is may to stuff her red lines, we do the norway model and then wait it out for a few years and when we are better prepared renegotiate if the "will of the people" is still for a harder Brexit.
