Surely not. She's said 21 times we are leaving the customs union.

Just because they want something doesn't mean they are entitled to it....i want a lot of things, does that make me entitled...

Oh yeah right, she said lots of things, I mean she lied about lots of things to get voted in... traitor she and the others are. Seeing as no one, bar the DUP, is threatening to bring her down, I suspect this country will be a vassal rule taking state of the EU for generations.Because that’s all her Chequers deal with it’s never ending Customs Union Irish back stop will deliver.

The NI border, I've voice my opinion many a time, it can be solved if people want to solve it. Here is a perspective of another expert in such operations. For full disclosure he is my former 'boss'....

THE BREXIT ICEBERG: SOLVING THE IRISH BORDER QUESTION

Rasczak Publish time 26-11-2019 01:44:37

Yes, but Barnia also wanted the U.K. to be in the Customs Union with no time limit as the Irish border backstop. And he will probably get that!

They'll think up a suitable alternative name to increase its marketability to Brexiteers.

In a way i hope he does..

A good read that, thanks.
So our problem is the EU don't want to solve the issue as it works in their favour not to and therefore we are at an impasse? Do we have to hit a hard Brexit and all that it entails before common sense can prevail?Or is the real fact of the situation is it too late to leave the EU after so many years of entanglement without causing us massive harm economically?

fudgeed if I know and I have tried my best to read up on it from both sides. I always thought something like this is too complex for the public to vote on, maybe I was right on that at least...

Sonic67 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:44:39

I'm sure that will work.

Bl4ckGryph0n Publish time 26-11-2019 01:44:39

Nah, the problem is people. This is a pure emotional issue, and it is being used as a political football. The border can be solved, no hesitation about that at all. Even just look at the comments on LinkedIn aimed at Tony, they are emotional but not factual and experience based. It is nothing new to be honest. The technicalities can easily be solved, the actual willingness is the complex issue.

In my opinion it is used by a variety of people to further their own agenda, some purely for the NI situation, and some to thwart the Brexit process. We just need to toughen up a bit and get on with it.
