I thought that was already passed through Parliament and signed into law. What’s the point of a petition for something that’s already going to happen?
I’m considering starting a petition to campaign for a 70mph limit on the motorway too.

? People are showing those in charge that "no deal" is fine with them. You can't figure out why this would be done?
Which will show those who want the speed limit raised that you are fine with it being 70.

Ok, so what’s the point? It’s already passed in law so what are Parliament going to discuss?
We had 700k marching through London to oppose it and you brushed them off as 16.5million less than voted to Leave.A few hundred thousand ticking a box online to campaign for a discussion about something that’s already been discussed/signed into law is hardly world changing.

At present May is trying to say her deal is the only option. So far 200,000seem to be happy with No Deal.
And you thought the losers march was a big deal, yet you don't think this is? Why did the government set it up?
Are e-petitions a waste of time?
Now when a petition that passes 10,000 signatures, it receives a response from the government, and there's a new cross-party committee of MPs which will look at each petition that gets 100.000 signatures and consider it for a parliamentary debate.
"The secret ballot, universal male suffrage, the abolition of the slave trade - they took a long time to come about, but they started through a process of petitioning."
