If Labour promises a new EU referendum, would you vote for them?
Interesting prospect of Labour promising a new EU referendum in their June 8th election manifesto. If they promise a new EU referendum, would you vote for them?
You can change your vote at any time while the poll is open.
Thanks for voting. I wouldn't vote for them anyway but this makes me even less likely to vote for them. If they did this it would finish the Labour party, there's more chance of them promising to end corporation tax. I can't see them doing it, but then again, nothing would surprise me... This would play into Tory hands as the only party respecting the British people.
Plus it would give justification to their reason for calling an election in the first place This.
We can't keep having referenda until we get a result that suits everyone, because there's never going to be a result that suits everyone.
The referendum is done. They need to focus on other things. Not that I think they're electable in their current state anyway. I'd be tempted to vote for them if they campaigned on a soft Brexit / third way type manifesto, but referenda are for the plebs, I wouldn't support any party offering them for any issue. We've got a parliamentary democracy for a reason... Use it. For as long as John McDonnell has an iota of a chance of becoming Chancellor, Labour could promise that every Tuesday will be steak and blowjob day and I'd still steer clear. Forget the cliches about Tories being nasty, he's easily the most unpleasant individual in parliament. No chance.
So many things have no chance of happening here.
Labour getting in at the next election, a new referendum on the EU exit etc.
And I was a labour supporter plus voted to remain. So I'm not a biased Tory brexiter.
People need to realise we are getting out of the EU, it's been done.
Nobody that you vote for in this election will change that, despite what promises they may offer. Brexit or Remain, the whole country needs to get behind the government (whoever they happen to be on June 9) and get us the best deal we can from the negotiations.
