Do you have any evidence that a large proportion of the electorate were misled? Any facts and figures? Or is that your opinion ?

Or being sent a helpful leaflet summarising what the referendum was all about by a completely unbiased government data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I never questioned the question, just the campaigning, which was questionable imo
As I've said many times I voted leave in spite of the campaigns

Big difference is, almost without exception, everyone agrees vote remain was poor. However, almost without exception, no one will accept anything wrong with vote leave. I literally lol at the defence of not being the government, like that excuses anyone!
How many more threads do we need with the same old ground being trodden over? SSDD

It might be an old defence, but that doesn't make it wrong.
They were not the government. They didn't pretend they were.
Meanwhile the actual government made threats and official predictions that were utterly false.
Both sides were disingenuous in their campaign. But it only seems to be the losing side that are trying to rewrite history on who said what and its significance.

Those millions of thickie leave voters eh, they'll believe anything. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
It's funny but the only people I've ever heard talking about the big red bus and the '350 million lie' are people who voted to remain, all of the people I know who voted to leave would have voted leave regardless of what ether campaign came out with, much like yourself. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I believe I've said on more than one occasion that both Campaigns were extremely shabby. The sensible thing is to say they were as bad as each other and move on.

So you weren't misled, I wasn't misled, many others on here weren't misled. Why would others be misled?
I fully agree the campaigning from both sides was disgraceful. And unfortunately I suspect it will be the same in the upcoming general election. However I don't think the electorate is too stupid to be misled by that.
I really hope one day campaign groups stick to the subject and the positives to their own cause. However I doubt that will happen, it is human nature to highlight the bad points of others. But I have faith that overall we are mature and experienced enough to just sigh and see through that.

It would be refreshing to see a positive campaign on why we should vote for each party rather than the continuing focus on why not to vote for the others.
They are all as bad as each other in this though.
