It's a lib dem seat it's been held by the liberals for almost the best part of 35 years only 9 being held by others.
It's like asking the Tories to break into say Liverpool it's not happening.
They were never winning the seat the bookies had them at 500-1.
The main and most important thing is that the seat leaves the Tory majority down by 1.
There should be more by elections but MPs do like the gravy train.

Agree with that.Though I would go as far as to say that as about 75% of MPs are fundamentally against Brexit in any form, and have been from the outset, there is little chance of getting any deal through, even if it were the most fantastic deal in the world.If MPs had a free vote every deal would be defeated 75%:25%, it is only because of the whip-controlled voting that any votes have come as close as they have.
Basically we have a bunch of MPs that don’t give one jot for democratic process.

I realise all that, but it was still an horrendous showing. Their vote share dropped by 12.4% and they finished 4th. That's an absolute shocker for the main opposition party, wherever it is.

No I think you you'll find they've rejected Labour over Boris Johnson, and there's nothing to be proud of about anything in Brecon and Radnorshire.
Yes Labour have to make a clear statement.
Are they pro leave or pro remain, they can’t be both which they are trying to do at the moment.
They could try a “we recognise that we have supporters in both camps but recognise the right thing to do would be to respect the outcome of the democratic referendum”.
Or they could just do the “we support a second referendum” which is effectively a Remainer stance so they may as well come out and say that.
Personally, I think they need to come and support Remain otherwise they will lose out to LibDem and become the third party.That would probably see them okay but would mean throwing their northern heartlands under the bus.
One thing for sure, I can’t see JC supporting a no-confidence vote anytime soon.Labour need to do a lot of positioning before they are ready for a GE.

For the remain camp they need a change of leadership , the leave camp would much rathercJC steers the ship .problem is that the on the fence approach does not send a clear message .
The main problem is , with this leadership is that they sound like and prefer to be an opposition party with no clear message.

They remind of the people I encounter at work.Those that don’t produce anything, or come up with ideas, but like to sit in reviews finding fault with what others have done, knowing that the poor author will have to go away and respond to all the crap, someone else is producing the minutes and they can go back to their desks put their feet up and browse the internet until the next chance to review some other person’s ideas arises.
Basically you sit around making yourself looking important without actually having to produce anything yourself.
