I see we got to post no.4, and then out came all the usual suspects to quickly turn it into a bitch against Remain thread.

I knew you wouldn't let me down data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Yes, its all 'remains fault' that he fiddled his allowances.Let's not mention that he has been a lifelong Brexiteer.

To me joking about referendums and remainers indicates a deep seated fear that Brexit isn't going to happen. A majority of 4 and Boris as PM ? Probably won't last a fortnight unless somebody works behind the scenes to smooth things over with angry Tory MP's when Boris flips and flops.

If the Brexit Party can't win this seat, then I wouldn't expect them to get very far in a General Election. While Brexit will dominate the next one, there will be other issues at play. For the last 2 years or so nothing has been done to address the multitude of problems we face and that might come back to bite the Tories up the bum.

As the last by-election thread rapidly became, "TBP didn't win, they are finished," I think we thought we'd better get in early. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Correction. Sooner than I thought...

Been saying it for a while mate. Squeaky bum time currently for many Brexiters these days. Clearly getting tetchy over the whole thing not happening. Being honest I would too if I was a Brexiter, thank Christ though I ain't.

I'd certainly expect a run at this seat from the Brexit Party, could be exactly what they need after Peterboro.

Another failure, and they'd be dead on their arse.

And another.

Massive wishful thinking or abject fear?

It's funny but if the LibDems don't win a by-election I don't predict the end of the LibDems or that all hopes of Remaining in the EU are finished.

Odd how it's supposed to work the other way.

The Liberal Democrats only became as successful as they did at winning seats in general elections (prior to 2015) by winning byelections, some of which they weren't expected to win. The Brexit Party has to do the same, if they can't then they'll not break through in a general election.
