Pitiful return for Labour, Brexit Party not much better. Fast becoming Change UK, I thought they'd do much better than that.
Most important news is Johnson now has a majority of just 1....

I agree that the most important aspect is the reduction of the Tories majority, but I also think there are other positive traits visible from the result.
Firstly, overturning the 8,000 majority of the Tories, despite the Boris bounce, is a very welcome positive endorsement for Jo Swinson as the new Lib Dem leader.
Secondly, the dismal failure of Labour will put further pressure on that party to adopt a sensible Brexit stance.
Thirdly, it is another failure for the Brexit Party in a leave voting area.Their result was so poor, that it is unlikely they could bring much to an electoral pact.
Fourthly, the remain alliance worked and worked well.
A good result I think data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

The Tories and Brexit party got more votes than the Lib Dem’s, so that means Brexit wins, right? That’s how things work these days isn’t it?data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Pretty close really, should there be a re run? People DO change their mind.
What about the voters who have got birthdays today but who were ineligible to vote yesterday.//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif...
Nah I think it's best to accept the result as that is democracydata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Boris needs to deliver Brexit. That's two byelections where TBP has stopped a Conservative win.

One thing for sure, although I can see Lib Dems demanding a GE I can’t imagine Labour being very keen.
I think that The Brexit Party are in danger of doing more harm than good at the moment. With Boris driving, they have similar goals at the moment and yet by standing they are sucking just enough Conservative votes to ensure neither of them win.
Cheers,

They say they have similar goals at the moment but do they really.
So much distrust at the moment and project fear in size to near Death Star proportions.
If the Tories/Brexit party had come to some agreement, they would have won the seat last night.
Hey ho.
