I would hope that Robel wouldn't agree with Israel killing children. And I am concerned that you think that as long as Israel does it, it's fine for Syrian forces to do it.

That is certainly not what I am suggesting - but I don't recall any criticism from Robel when numerous Palestinian children were killed in the recent ( in fact every) conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Well as Israel has broken more UN resolutions than any other state in UN history kind of makes your point somewhat moot don't you think.?

Quality.

Do you know about the UN?
Do you understand the meaning of "hypocrisy"?

The UN inspectors tested under stairwells and places like that where the gas still lingered.

I interpreted your post as a call for UN intervention, this response makes your intention clearer - apologies .

To intervene or not to intervene?

The Syrian crisis is an example where we did not directly intervene. The West was on the verge of bombing Assad, but thanks to Ed Milliband, the UK backed down and then the US followed.

By doing nothing, (and actually I would have supported Assad but with pressure for change) we have allowed the situation to get completely out of control. ISIS is powerful supported by the Arabs and we now have a new bunch of terrorists (sorry BBC for using a banned word) that want to cause havoc in Europe. Not to mention the numbers killed, and displaced. Refugees are streaming to Europe (and Calais)

Intervention by supporting Assad with the Russians might have nipped this in the bud.

"Isis is supported by the Arabs" what does that actually mean

Cliff Publish time 26-11-2019 00:34:32

Middle East and Gulf Sunnis

But Assad is an Iranian ally, and a leader that the Saudis would like to see replaced by a Sunni government. As we and Uncle Sam are so far up the Saudis asses we could never be seen to do something contrary to their wishes .
