AIUI, the SNP's position is to be a) outside of the union of the rest of the UK b) a member of the European Union.
Putting aside the incongruity of that position, if Brexit is finally done then that makes the ability of an independent Scotland to be a member of the EU incredibly difficult given the land border between England and Scotland.
Separating Scotland from the UK would make Brexit look easy.

Only on the English side. As Scotland would have no issue being under the ECJ, then it is academic. Whatever arrangement is done for Ireland will just apply to Scotland.
