Because our economy is dependent on being part of a larger trading block, and that comes with compromises.
A better question is why can't be manage immigration better so people don't get so anxious about it?

Who is anxious about it?
It’s just one part of many. Nothing to be anxious about.

Well you did just say
So it sounds like you are pretty anxious about living in a "sh*t" country due to "uncontrolled" immigration.

OMFG Talk about a total lack of comprehension.
What is the point of discussing anything with you when you are so far off the mark and just make stuff up.
I now know who you are, thanks for that data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

They don't moan about money.
They quite rightly moan when “The Union” Westminster government take no notice of any views they hold on any subject & just brush them aside as irrelevant when they’re supposed to be equal partners.

Except a single member in the EU has a veto (for the moment)
EU wants end to member state veto on tax
Likely next EU chief says she wants to end member states' veto on foreign policy

Really? They don't?
Scotland are not equal partners. They are represented proportionately (over represented actually) compared to other parts of the UK. Ross is a UK wide Government you agreed to remain part of just 5 years ago.
They have significant devolved powers over the majority of domestic issues.
It's a joke if you think Scots have any kind of democratic deficit compared to the English.

According to two former PMs and the current leader of the Scottish Conservatives they are...
Mundell – Scotland is not a partner of the United Kingdom
The overwhelming majority of Scots believe in the UK and want to remain part of this 300 year long equal partnership.
– Ruth Davidson, 5th November 2011
There is more that brings us together than tears us apart. A future in which Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England continue to flourish side-by-side as equal partners.
– Theresa May, Scottish Conservative Party Conference, 24th March 2012
Today we are equal partners in the United Kingdom.
– Alistair Darling, John P. Mackintosh Lecture, 9th November 2012
The position of my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister, the Government and this party is absolutely clear. We are determined to maintain Scotland’s full place as an equal partner in the United Kingdom and to create no bodies which would fragment or undermine that position.
– Ian Lang, former MP for Galloway & Secretary of State for Scotland, now Baron of Monckton, 26th February 1992
Still today Scotsmen – and Scotswomen – figure prominently in the political community from which our government is drawn. There are five Scots in my cabinet. They’re not there on sufferance, or in token representation of Scotland. But because union has given the English and the Scots equal freedom to rise to the top of our national affairs.
– John Major, 22nd February 1992

In Parliament you are (over) represented in proportion to your population. Exactly as it should be. And exactly as you agreed to continue 5 years ago.
Scots do have equal freedom. On what basis do you claim they don't?
The English are the country with a democratic deficit.
We can't even have the same Sunday trading laws as you.
