A great opportunity for your daughter to teach you what she's learnt as it will help reinforce her learning as well.

If you can get away with it domestically, buy a stand rather than a case. That way it's just so easy to pick it up for a quick blast & put it down again when the fingers are sore.

bought my daughter a wall bracket for a fiver off ebay as she reckons her stand always ends up getting knocked.....might pinch that one off her now I think of it.
....have got a nice spot on the wall where a glossy black guitar might look quite nice
nice bit of wall art if all else fails!

Exactly what I told my daughter after she complained that she never played the Hello Kitty electric guitar she bought and was thinking of selling it and buying an Ed Sheerhan acoustic for £400.
Buy a stand, I said, that way you're more likely to pick it up and play it, if it's sat there on display, rather than having to go to the bother if getting it out of the box under her bed every time.
Of course, kids being kids, she totally ignored my advice and bought the Ed Sheeran in October and I don't think it's been out of the case once since she bought it!

well guitar turned up today!
seems really nice for the money...well made and nice finish...looks the biz in gloss black...I did notice with some out there that the body was gloss black but the neck was matt...this ones a nice gloss black all over.
steel strings feel a bit different from my daughters nylon ones!
ordered a stand from the bay.

had a couple of days playing about now....very happy with the guitar ...sounds great.....till I get my hands on it that is
neighbours are probably fed up with hearing a e minor and a g major..
my opinion is that the steel strings sound better but now having a taste of the sore fingers and hand I keep hearing about !
for a 'budget' guitar I think its great

daughter now wants steel strings now shes had a few plays on mine.
ordered some...but how easy are they to fit yourself?
hers is different from mine..doesn't have bridge pins ....the strings go through holes in the bridge...back through themselves a couple of times and then tied off...then I suppose you tighten up at the tuning keys.

Don't do it, you'll likely kill her guitar!
Nylon strung classical guitars simply aren't built to take the tension of steel strings, even if you can bodge a way of fitting them.

really?
was a pretty half decent one...cost about 150 quid if I remember rightly.
cheers
