A week in Edinburgh and a week driving to the Orkney Islands and back, mid August.
My pilgrimage to the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall will finally be realised data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
And I'll squeeze in a visit to the Old Pulteney Distillery too, in Wick.
That'll be me and the family, me being the sucker that's driving all those glorious empty Highland roads data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Can't wait!!!

Not really as we tend to frequent "Hideaway" sites with minimal facilities and only 5 pitches.By minimal I mean electricity, water and a chemical disposal point.Probably not ideal for a young family in a tent data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 @DJT75 Closer to the next bay down, but not at Croyde itself, far too busy for us data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Went to Salou about 5 years ago.Generally a really nice place and we would go back in shot.Port Aventura was excellent.Loads of fun rides and decent shows. The water park was a bit limited but I understand they've expanded it since.

This year we are off on a Baltic cruise from Southampton.Oslo, Copenhagen, Tallinn, overnight in Saint Petersburg, Helsinki and Bruges. 4 sea days in there too. Really looking forward to it - just booking our Russian tours today.

I'm going to Ireland for a week. My wife's family will be there in force. Yay.

soupdragon Publish time 25-11-2019 00:32:30

Where in Ireland are you going to?

djbsom Publish time 25-11-2019 00:32:30

That's life ha!
I live there and never think about it as a holiday destination.
It's like visiting the Isle of Wight (a favourite of mine) and seeing how many of the locals have caravans.
