There are a few charging points around including Cribbs Causeway.
I suppose the infrastructure is a lot easier.

I'm wondering how long it will be before the other manufactures start to leak into the mainstream press that they have also been guilty of doing the same.
My personal thoughts are that this could signal the end of diesel, which is not a bad thing tbh.

Something on this scale would require teams of people to collude together, good example of cynical premeditated corruption. However, I'm now off to look who has got VW in the crosshairs and why?

If other European countries do the same as Switzerland and ban VW diesel sales, VW are going to enter a whole new world of hurt.

Cannot say I have any sympathy for the company. This wasn't just a 'mistake' but a cynical attempt to improve profits at all costs. Someone high up at VW sanctioned this course of action, and ALL car manfactures need to be shown a clear message this kind of action cannot not be allowed to happen ever again.

Absolutely.I drive a company car and replaced it just under a year ago.I ended up with another VW Golf.

Like many company car drivers I had a close eye on emissions, not to save the environment but because it prportionally defines the amount of tax I have to pay on the car.I also look for fuel economy because my daily round trip commute is over 70 miles.

So when looking at cars I looked carefully at emissions and fuel economy. In past years VW had a significant lead but now all the competitors have pretty much the same stats.

My feeling is that I can't believe that VW engines are so much worse than the competitors thar they have to cheat. So I'd put money on that, given all the competitor car stats are practically the same, they are all at it, all cheating the system.

Cheers,

Nigel

With car tax and company car tax based on the emissions, are we likely to see VW owners getting clobbered if their car emissions level gets recalculated?
