I know , but the main dealer are insisting it's not something they have done .

They said they have replaced the resistor and the blower motor . That's it, nothing else.

They want to charge 108 pounds to check it and then if they find it was them they will fix for free .

However we all know they are still going to say it wasn't them, and I'll be 108 worse off before any work is done .

Untill this independent guy takes a look, I won't know for sure.

If it's the actuator, what's the cost of repair do you think?

Like I have said already, it may just be less agro getting the guy on Saturday to fix it ....

If you do get him to fix it then get a report alongside an invoice and send this to both garages involved. Let them sort it between them.

Obviously keep copies. Mention small claims court if no response after two weeks.

Yep , that sounds like a plan

I dont suppose anyone knows what the price of a job like this is likely to be?

Cant seem to find any prices for a heater blend door on a zafira , or hot/cold actuator etc, at least not new ones.

Not 100% sure on the zafira b but if you remove the glovebox you should be able to locate the hot/cold actuator that has a arm on it that operates the valve. I think when they've put it back together they've messed this up and the flap is jammed.

Cant find any info on this particular problem ...

Okan update

Car was looked at today, can't find any issues that woukd be causing the problem.

The guy had a reall hi look as well, testing fuses taking the system apart ect .

All seems to be workingjust not doing what it should be doing .

He did say that the temperature on the passenger side does drop bit not on the drivers side .

Coukd be that the aircon us playing up, Coukd be the cnttoll system it's self not working properly .

Anywayit's going back to the place we bought it on Monday and they can sort it out , or I think we will be asking for money back!

Ok another update .

Car went back to where we bought it today
Apparently its the heater box?

New one would be very expensive, but they have said they can source a second hand one for 200 pounds .

It's also about 8 hrs labour to do the job?

Don't feel quite right to me.

Anyway getting the car back tomorrow, then rebooking it in for next week for the work .

They are saying it's the main dealers fault though as the heater box is next to the blower motor which was replaced in the recal work.

Main dealer says its not themstill.

This is just a real pain ...

Typical pillar to post nonsense from two dealers data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Well in fairness , the garage are going to do the job, just gonna take some time to sort it .

They said a new part would be silly money and almost Wright the car off!

Second hand is around 200.

With around 400 Labour ....!
