As I mentioned before, looking at the pictures I can't see any aircon button, the pictures in the add doesn't have it on there either. I would have thought the top left of the climate control section should have had an aircon on/off button if this car has airconditioning.
But I might be wrong data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 However that is where I would start and check whether it actually has it in the first place...

Hopefully I'm wrong...It should have the on/off button in the electronic display. Make certain it is set to on, there are some weird people who switch it off data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Kwik Fit had a policy where if when your air con was re gassed it wasn't any cooler there would be no charge
might be worth a visit to see if they still have the same policy

Don't know how to break it to you but that model doesn't have AC or climate! You don't have the controls for either function.I always test the climate control before purchase, thought that was the norm.

It does have air con. It has ECC, electronic climate control where the ac snow flake button is replaced with an auto button. All the air flow direction, temps etc are displayed on screen.
Ps. You have turned the AC on through the menu haven't you?

He didn't have the ignition on in that photo, otherwise you would have seen that there is a climate control menu on the main LCD screen. In his first post he said that the air con was "on":

un1eash is right, thats climate control. AUTO button will make it respect the temperature set by the temperature control (on the left).
You should notice that if you alter the fan setting the little light on the auto button goes out, this means its in manual mode.
I would get it to an aircon specialist to diagnose, preferably ask them to fix it with the agreement the supplying garage pays the bill..

ok,
Thanks for all the input.
It does have air con, (climate control)
As mentioned the ignition inst on , so on the LCD screen you have read outs for temperature and air flow etc.
You can tell when the compressor engages as the engine revs change and you can hear it working to dry the air, this is why i think the system still has gas.
The issue is no control over the temperature, its either hot at 28 degrees or hot at 16 degrees or low setting. This is no matter what we do with the controls.
I have found out since that this model wasn't even part of the recall as its climate and not standard air-con.
We have a mobile guy coming on Tuesday pm. Nothing but good reviews of him on face book and yell. He is going to charge 35 to come to us and diagnose the issue. He will also do a report and if its something we think the main dealer did it can go back to them. If not it can go to the garage and we will get them to pay for the report and the work. With both sides deying that it has anything to do with them, i think this is the best way forward for now.
If only the Mrs had checked the blooming thing when buying it !
