Was it advertised as having air conditioning? If so presumption would be that it should be working.

Shouldn’t take them long to gas it up and test from there.

Yep, the advert says aircon.

Then just call them and arrange for it to be sorted.

Okso garage we bought car from Says it's the rehostat, not sure of spelling.

They say it's defiantly something main dealer has messed up so they are not gonna touch it .

Main dealer says nothing they would have done would have caused the problem as they changed a resistor and a motor plus put in some sort of extra water proofing .

Found out today the car isn't even one that needed to be recalled either as it has climate control and not standard aircon .

So we are now stuck. Main dealer says for 108 pounds they will look to see what the problem is . Then if and a big if they find
it was them, do the job .

Of course I don't really trust them or the original garage.

Been recomened a mobile mechanic that will charge 35 to come and see what the issue is.

Thinking this might be best option .

They could then do a report if it was main dealer and we could go back to them agsin.

Oh this sort of thing does my head in !

Perhaps a daft question but are you sure it has AC? The photo of your centre console doesn't have a button with AC on it to switch it on and off. As weird as it sounds, some manufacturers did sell climate control without AC. I got stung like that myself ones, I saw CC and I just assumed it had AC.

You will find air con is likely wear and tear.
I would have it regassed (as above, will cost £40 or £50) and see if this solves the cold air issue.
When the Air Con is regassed, they use a green dye to look for any leaks, so after a day or two check the pipe work and condenser on the front for leaks

But he only just got the car so can return it etc because it’s not as advertised.

Don’t think returning it is an option now they’ve done some work to it.

You are presuming that the advert stated the car had air con, the advert may not of.
i would get the air con re-gassed first, and take it from there
