GAME, SET AND MATCH - Djokovic 4-6 6-3 1-6 7-6 (7-3) 7-9 Nadal*
Thunderous roars from the Chatrier faithful as Nadal passes Djokovic with a curling forehand to collect his second point of the game. Djokovic's radar malfunctions at the most inopportune time and it's three match points to the defending champion. A 17th Grand Slam final beckons....an eighth French Open final is on horizon... and Uncle Toni is on his feet as Djokovic has directed a forehand long.

Gutted
I'll still watch the final but Nadal will walk over Ferrer as usual. The Tsonga being French element might help and make for more of a match

Yes. The final will be one way traffic. Ferrer will crumble and it will be straight sets to Nadal at a canter.
I was perplexed by Djokovic's last service game. Why did he remonstrate with the umpire before serving to stay in the match. Idiotic doesn't even come close. Djokovic possibly should have won today but credit to Rafa who dug deep and played exceptional. He absolutely had to win and he is a uniquely gifted clay courter. He just needs to transfer that RG success to the other slams and beat Novak in the other 3 which atm, he doesn't seem able to do.
It's a bit like Federer v Nadal. Nadal was closer to Fed on grass than Fed was to Nadal on clay. With Djokovic however, he is virtually on the threshold of usurping Nadal on clay and Nadal is nowhere near him on any other surface.

Murray vs Nadal on hard courts and grass should be a lot closer now with Murray's improvements. Murray has beaten Nadal at the Aus and US Open before and he's a better player now.
Djokovic came so close, absolutely gutted for him, it feels a lot like Roddick's Wimbledon final against Federer in 2009. Got to the final before but this time he was closest and still didn't do it. By the time RG comes around next year Nole will be 27, I think he has maybe 3 more years ahead to win the title and compete his career Grand Slam. Good thing for him is that there don't seem to be any younger guys who will trouble him, Murray and Nadal for the next few years - maybe Del Potro.
Nadal will probably win the title in straight sets and he is just too good for the rest of the tour at RG. Djokovic came close today, closer than anyone since Soderling beat him. Maybe he will beat him next year.
Looking forward to Wimbledon now where there are at least 4 serious contenders for the title.

Still buzzing about yesterday. Nadal is amazing. I don't ev gen think about the Soderling game as Nadal was no where near 100%.
Djokovic's terminator style eyes and expression when he wins a point looking up to his crew bores me to tears so lovely to see him lose.
As for serena. Don't know why other women bother turning up. She just power blasts it all. I'd say 99% of her training is weightlifting. Probably about 1% actual tennis shots and serving.

Roland Garros may be the toughest slam to win, but it's the 'worst' of the lot for me
