The premise behind "Zero Zero Zero" has been done before but the overall quality of writing and acting, renders that fact, largely irrelevant.
This series offers perspectives on global drug crime with insights into the economics and logistics of supply, of a highly addictive end product. From the producers, middlemen and the sellers. All told with a very personal perspective, that speaks to a cold blooded efficiency and greed.
Acting is generally excellent. The cast well chosen for their respective roles. That said, I did feel at times, that some of the characterisations are a little overstated and moral points sometimes made with a dash of cliche.
Its hard however, to let this detract in too large a measure, from the overall excellence of this series. Its not quite as remarkable as its obvious counterpart "Gomorrah" but certainly it walks comfortably, in similarly fashioned shoes.
