score 1/10
All I can say about this movie is WOW and that is not meant as a term of endearment for what is frankly extremely close to if not the worst film I have ever had the misfortune of watching.
How bad is this film? Well any movie that makes the god-awful Mortecai look like a Hitchcockian masterpiece has to be considered pretty awful by anyones standards.
Normally a really bad film can be considered so bad its good as they will normally have at least one redeeming quality, in the case of Knock Knock however there simply is none.
Eli Roth is the man in the directors chair here and personally I've always found him to be over-rated and his movies have always left a bad taste in my mouth. As bad as his previous movies have been however nothing can prepare you for how atrocious Knock Knock is. A laughable script is delivered in the worst possible way by KEanu Reeves who here plumbs new depths of his own unique one dimensional acting 'ability'. In fact it would appear that he is deliberately attempting to outdo his usual brand of awfulness here by channelling his inner Nicolas Cage.
I could go on but the plot is rubbish, the direction appalling and the acting about as bad as it can get.
I only wish I was able to give this film the zero score that it deserves.
