There are sequences in the film that has a lot of character inbetweens. Specifically with the new character they introduce. I will try my best to not spoil anything, but the way this character moves looks great, and I really do appreciate the animators putting in this effort during that one song in the beginning. I also really admire the songs, a couple of them were stuck in my head for a few days. I love when a song can do that. I appreciate as well that the songs move the story forward. While being a musical, the movie always has something happening at all times with the songs. The film is also very heartwarming once a character's background story is understood. It's easily understood why a character may react one way, and the redemption in the movie works very well. As a thought, the focus of a show's movie being around a character never introduced before may sound more like a long episode. What makes it work though is that the character creates a situation that's essential and serious to that of the other main characters. Plus, the new character introduced may be one of the coolest characters of the show. I really like the way the character is designed. I also like how they reprise one song, it's very earned. They also move time forward, and I feel that does work better than keeping it at the same time as the show. I love the complexity, the singing, the song writing, and the overall direction.

Check it out :-)
