Wow.
This was stupid.
It began really interestingly with 4 people in a unknown land and how they are going to survive. It got more and more random. The plot was the least thought out plot I've seen in a long time.
Don't get me wrong. The characters are understandable. Not relatable, but their motives are somewhat clear. But everyone who prepared for this apocalypse was so stupid I really can't wrap my head around it. I hear it's based on a manga. I imagine that manga has similar problems.
I was really invested up to the moment they introduced the "Summer A" team. Wow. That plot was so stupid. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Who in the world would put children up against each other especially if they've known each other FOR THEIR ENTIER LIFE? They don't just loose their friends, they have to watch them being killed by the people who tought you every thing that you know.... Of course they will be so deeply traumatized that they can't hardly get anything done! And they are the "experts"? Come on! They would rather kill 20-30 really capable and skilled youngsters and replace them by common children AND traumatize the remaning 7 than just use all those trained children? Why? What the hell?
The whole amusementpark episode also really felt unnecessary but maybe they'll come back to that at some point. I'll probably not watch it though.
Animationwise it was ok I guess. Hard to get used to and felt a little cheap but it wasn't a big factor after 2 episodes.
