Hi all booked Vegas in June (excaliber) with thomas Cook, on the website they stated that resort fees were included, however just had an email saying they weren't paid and we'd have to pay them ourselves, we've only paid a £500 deposit anyone know where we stand before I get in touch with them.
I would cancel if possible and get an hotel further up the strip. I thought the exclabur was a bit run down in the public areas, not sure on what the rooms are like(they could be brand new for all I know). i just thought it was a bit out of the way.
Any deals or discounts going on Vegas? I'm going in May for a UFC event, have provisionally booked the Luxor and the Excalibur for 4 nights, can cancel for free.
Interesting thing I just found is that Expedia seem to be doing a great deal. I priced the hotels via booking.com and both are about $700 (£460) for 4 nights. Priced flights via Expedia and found them for £470.
Then checked for flight and hotel together on Expedia and was getting flights plus Luxor/Excalibur for about £800 which is a pretty solid saving.
If you are not worried about staying in one of the big named Hotels, have a look at the Jockey Club Suites. This is right next door to the Bellagio. We have stayed there twice and never had a problem . Last time was about 8 or 9 years ago so I don't know what they are like now. We had a 2 bed with kitchen last time and it was perfectly fine. I know it was cheap but can't remember how much we paid. To get there from the airport we just got the Hotel bus and got off at the Bellagio, I think that was peanuts as well. I just looked on trip adviser and they got a good write-up.
Rooms are decent, public areas no worse than some of the others, we like staying there because NY NY, MGM, Luxor & Mandalay Bay are handy, plus the south strip has quite a few shops within walking distance ...
