Looked at the stamping a few times now being as neutral as possible but I just cant see it being an accident. He didnt look off balance he was holding on to other players. I think an appeal would be won.

No. Didn't see the game, just had to listen to it on the radio with Brian Moore, Shane Williams and David Campese doing to analysing. Moore did mention use of the boot early on, but I honestly don't know if this was the incident he was referring to. Everyone on the broadcast was getting a little perplexed with the ref's handling of the breakdown, even Campo.

Must say it was a good broadcast, plenty of information coming across from Moore and company at stoppage times and there were plenty of those.

Didn't realise Corbs calf problem was that serious, as it happened early on and he kept playing, and even came out for the second half. Would be a big loss if we lost him as he's the best looshead we have out there. PO'C would also be a loss, but Parling would be a decent replacement.

As for that stamping incident, looked deliberate to me. AWJ's head was expose, Horwill was looking down, and if you are knocked off balance the natural thing to do is adopt a wide stance, not flip your boot inside and onto the head of a prone opposition player.

What's this about Beale missing the next tests? I can't find any fresh info about him being sanctioned, just stuff from May.

I would like to see Australia field a strong side..........and obviously lose. That way a Lion's series win will feel so much better. But I've looked again at the AWJ stamping incident and Horwell's leg comes up slowly and then a put down quickly with force on AWJ's chops. To me it looks deliberate and he's got away with it.

I read it on the Lions' App, so maybe it was out of date. My bad

question is who will be targeted or ,should I say, "Greyed" (after the infamous elbow smash into Richard Hill's face by Nathan Grey in 2001)? Sexton, Halfpenny North,Jones, BOD?

The stamp was deliberate and cowardly, no question about it .The citing officers have shown themselves to be a joke and Horwill deserves a very lengthy ban AWJ was lucky not to  lose an eye

Apparently an arrest warrant has been issued for Digby Ioane. It keeps getting worse for the Aussies. I know we have also lost some players, but I just read that TB, JR and MT are all potentially fit for the next test, which is good news. JD had a good game, but we could really do with a midfield battering ram in either JR or MT. AC looked a little shaky in defence as well, so I'd like to see TB given a chance.

On a related note, did anyone see the U20 Championship final yesterday? Great match and a very impressive comeback by the young England side.

Yes, watched the whole match on s4c, the Welsh language channel. The writing was on the wall for the Welsh boys at the end of the first half, England looked so strong and it was only the foolish use of the knee that had that English try disallowed.

Wales, however, did have a chance to finish the game during the sin binning but lost control of the ball with the scrum marching towards the English line, very similar in fact to what happened in the Lions' test.

Congratulations to young England, they certainly deserved the win, much more powerful. But wasn't it good to see the two British teams in the final overturning the stranglehold that the southern hemisphere teams had on the tournament.

strange match for me as Wales had most of the ball and territory for 50 minutes, built a good lead and if they had capitalised as they should have done during the sin binning, would most likely have been out of sight.England, obviously stronger and fitter, ultimately deserved the win.Of the two disallowed tries one was definitely a score.
Good match by the two best teams
