Not sure it will
Aluminium is usually bead blasted to give it a lovely matte lustre. It can however scratch 'shiny' silver if scuffed and be difficult to get it back to it's original finish, as it's a very soft metal.
Stainless steel on the other hand can be highly polished or brushed. I prefer brushed as it's much easier to repair, although mirror polished can be restored with a little patience.
At end of the day it's a watch and will naturally get some 'dings' eventually and just like your car, the first mark in the paint is always the worst. After a few more, here and there it becomes less of an issue.
I already mentioned on another post that I'm holding out for a titanium case or come to think of it, perhaps a ceramic version.
Don't get me wrong, these things aren't cheap, but as watches go, they're a bargain and wide open to all the cosmetic problems that Rolex, Omega, etc wearers have suffered for ever, even when they spend considerably more than most Apple watch owners ever will. (Edition owners excepted)
Long time watch wearer/technology user btw. |
