I sent an example to Cotswolds using the "solution" provided by Garmin (turn the GPS on!), showing a 1.28 mile walk and under 500 steps were tracked. I must have a really big stride!
If it counted steps properly I absolutely would be keeping it. It's great at everything else, although floors certainly are not accurate. Went up and down my stairs this morning 4 times and it tracked none of them! Currently showing 3 but have done at least 10.

Here you go chaps. Its only a short clip as I've been really busy. Count my steps then notice the updated stepcount after a short delay....

Im sure mine is faulty. Cotswolds have washed their hands with it and insisted I had to raise a ticket with Garmin.
Never using them again. Amazon all the way.

Is my video enough to confirm my claims

I have actually noticed that it can take a while for the step count to update. Maybe its a power saving feature???!!
A way I've tested this is to make a note of your step count then go for a walk round for a min or so with your buggy or shopping bag and count your steps....Stop completely, then wait for at least a minute then check the step count compared to when you started.
I've found it to be consistently accurate give or take a few steps.
I Love mine and find it perfect for my needs.

I think it is fine. But then I am not actively counting my steps and comparing to the watch. My old fitbit just worked. This for whatever reason, doesn't.
I know it doesn't track floors if I run up them. It only tracks if I walk slowly.

I'll try the walk app on mine later and report back. Have you posted over on the Garmin forums? If not have a look, there may be others in the same boat.
What firmware are u running? I'm using 2.65 which although is still in beta, is pretty solid and i haven't had any issues.
If you don't fancy installing a beta then it's probably worth holding out as I'm guessing there will be a proper release very soon.
