I think you will find that this thread was set up to chat about anything, and not necessarily photography related

Then I think you'll find the title is incorrect and should be called "talk about any old bollocks in here".

Ok I'll try and get things back on track lol.

I currently have the Canon 16-35 f2.8 but was wondering whether it would be worth getting the new f4 version? The reviews I've read seem to suggest its a better overall package but is having IS all that as mostly it would be used on a tripod anyway plus I'd be losing one stop on the aperture. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks for that twist, it made for an interesting read indeed. The general consensus seems to be it would be worth it but I'd be tempted to keep the 2.8 too just for, you know, those times when nothing else will do.

Having said that, it may turn out the 4 is plenty good enough anyway. I'll check out some prices later. Cheers.

I'm thinking about selling my 24-105L and buying a 35mm, probably the Sigma Art 1.4.
Reason: I really don't use it that much and when I do, it's mostly at the wide end.

The 24-105 is date code UA0527, which I believe is May 2012.
It's in excellent condition, with both caps, hood and pouch.
It came with my 5D3  as part of a kit and was a grey import from Panamoz in September 2012. Hence no box.

How much should I expect to get for it?
