I'm not entirely sure what you mean EndlessWaves. And I'm certainly not sure what you mean by 'real 3D'.
The Rift is a revelation mainly due to it's incredible FOV (110 Deg. Diagonal) and low latency head tracking. The FOV essentially surrounds your entire field of view, all you see if the game world in full stereoscopic 3D with NO ghosting. This is absolutely nothing like staring at an unconvincing, flat screen at a distance - which in my experience always offered a pretty poor experience.
Companies like Valve (Half-Life / Counterstrike / Portal), Epic (Gears of War / Unreal) abd iD (Doom, Quake, Rage) and Unity engines have all pledged support and by all accounts using this thing really does deliver on the promise of the 90s vision of VR (without the silliness).
Check out the site: RiftVR - Oculus Rift VR Gaming - Virtually a reality ..for a load of hands-on impressions (including those who were so immersed it made them ill - you may change your mind. |
