As we understand, this movie subtly highlights the problems arising out of fundamental beliefs:
1. At Underwood, the fundamental belief is number crunching based on evidence and maximizing profits. 2. Muslim fundamentalism, that their way of life is correct and do not need any tutoring on improvements. 3. Typical Pakistani or Indian belief that measure of success is making it to the Manhattan skylines. 4. American belief that their way of life has to be adopted globally.
In all these fundamental beliefs there is scant regard for human emotions and response. Each one responds differently to similar situations and the other is unable to appreciate it as it infringes on his belief system.
The irony is that fundamentalism in all forms have very strong roots and infringes on others' personal preferences as well. It is difficult to bring harmony without trust. Trust is lacking as slightest pretext is sufficient to get people back to their comfort zone of fundamental beliefs. After all the discussions, mistrust is triggered in Bobby with a slight gesture as sending an SMS by Chengez.
Overall excellent movie with beautiful cinematography and screenplay.
