Considering that Philips is using IPS panel from LG, should I expect different panel characteristics between the two TVs?
Well I mean, due to the fact that IPS panel has low contrast level and not brilliant black levels, should I find even worse performance among the IPS panels?
I would like to understand if between Philips 6xxx and LG equivalent model should be find different IPS panels and then different performance.
Thanks for any help on that.

Re Sharp and Pana screen shot comparison,I believe such comparisons based on images on computer screens can be very misleading.According to your screen shots on my monitor my Philips 5007 delivers much better picture than Sharp,VT50 image looks unacceptable which cannot be true  in actual fact.
