I don't know what to say you seem to be doing a very good job of talking yourself out of buying one. The way they are set up in store is a little to garish, but with a few simple tweaks your able to get a really breath taking picture from it.

Best thing for you to do is look elsewhere as no one will be a better judge than your own eyes.

I am not trying to get myself out of buying it, I just want some clear facts that the loewe is better thantthe Samsung one.

One thing it really puts me of is that one has 200 hz and the other 800.. Are these measured differently between brands?

Does loewe has dlna or some wireless sstreaming tech?

As only777 has pointed out it is marketing in another post i spoke about why manufacturers do this as it can be a mind field for the consumer to get there head around.

Bottom line is this when they say a tv is 600hz it's actually 100hz, 800 is 200hz with backlight scanning.

Some brands motion compensation is better than others. And like all tvs they can vary and differ in terms of judder blur etc, but i found the loewe to excel in that area the picture quality did beggar believe at times and the tvs on board tuner did an amazing job with SD content and even better with HD.

Hi again,

my Connect 46 is now fitted to a wall swivel mount.
Making for very accurate veiwing angles.
One major complaint, and something to look out for.
Two of the four the mounting threads on the tv were very tight, and resulted in the whole assembly unscrewing with the mount bolt!.Lets hope i dont have to take the mounting plate off the TV!.
Has anyone tried out any other 3D glasses like for example the Uerotek Universal glasses seem to be getting positive reviews?.
The price difference is considerable.

Hello everyone!

I bought a Connect ID 40 DR  while the BluTech Vision 3D offer was on.

I've had some problems with the TV and was wondering whether it is just my set?

Issues include:

-        The digital recorder often fails to start and requires me to power the TV off and on again before it will start successfully
-        EPG often fails to populate
-        EPG unresponsive/bizarre behaviour (randomly resorts channel list, Page up/down do nothing or change the channel displayed etc.)
-        MediaHome sometimes seems not to work properly and movies are displayed in unusually small windows within the larger display
-        Sound sometimes stops working completely – I have been unable to find out how to resolve this and have to resort to powering the TV off and back on again to resolve

I have tried to use the “check integrated hard disk” function which says it should take 20 minutes – I left it checking for over 8 hours but it still did not complete.

Has anyone else experienced any issues like these, or have I unfortunately hit upon a lemon?

Many thanks

Neil

I have a few issues around the remote and wireless with my Connect ID but the problems you mention sound pretty serious.
Have you run the latest software update? It was mainly DVB related so may help your issues with the recorder.

My ID is getting looked at this afternoon and I'm hoping it just requires a software reinstall or update. I'll update this thread later.

The TV was supplied with 8.20.0.0 installed, which I think is the latest version.

I did a repeat of the initial installation last night, so will have more of an idea whether that has had an effect or not in the next day or two.

I also contacted the dealer this morning, detailing the list of issues and requesting a replacement.

Hopefully the dealer will get things sorted out for you quickly.

I've been trying to contact Loewe Galerie Glasgow for days now and cannot get a hold of them at all. Should have just bought the TV from John Lewis.
