I just ran this by my Platinum Hik Installer, he would struggle at that price, getting everything at Platinum discounts.

@indus why angry at my post? Not provoking, just interested.

Apologies if anything said out of turn. Just offering advice based on personal experience.

Incidentally, on the topic of dome cameras, will they be mounted in easy(ish) reach? How well will they be sheltered from the rain? Reason is that I spent a disproportionate amount of my life cleaning the domes of dried water spots. Fortunately, x2 of mine on detached garage could be reached with short step ladder. Just one for consideration if mounted high under 1st floor eves. Now have hikvision turrets and my ladders are gathering dust in the garage

One of the reasons that I never use domes externally. Turrets are a much better option for several reasons, including rain issues and insects sitting over the camera.

Aren't domes more resistant to tamper?

Thanks

Ok. I don't want to derail the the OP's thread but I have a quote for CCTV dome cctv cameras and they are listed as 'vandal proof'. I'm assuming there must be an industry standard that allows them to be termed VP?
In addition a turret camera has no such protection and so would succumb far more easily to a physical attack.

Genuine question as I'm about to have my cctv camera system upgraded.

Thanks
