This movie had so much potential squandered by wasteful, and ultimately,useless scenes. First to the people saying all reviews under a 8 should be ignored - well maybe all reviews above a 4 should be? The movie is well shot with solid performances, but I felt like the main story isn't given enough time to develop- it feels shoved into the last 30 mins. I think the biggest sin is that the ghost to me look like actors dressed up as ghosts. Like they weren't scary at all. The entire side story of the mother went no where as did Jackson's self empowerment tapes, which made no sense to me. Lastly, I think the very idea people would hire 21-22 years kids as ghost hunters just doesn't work, and why was it necessary to this set in the 1980s in the first place?
