I ordered by Note 4 from Samsung direct and it was unlocked. I've ordered by S7 Edge from them too, I'll contact them when they accept the order tomorrow about the VR thing if the confirmation doesn't mention it.

I'd get Edge as it's something I usually on a daily basis several times a day, thats the justification for me to get the Edge

Free gear VR on CPW for contract pre orders only, not sim free..

I don't know why Samsung UK doesn't have the free VR offer, and other EU countries like France and Germany do..
