Yes, I was surprised how simple it is to set up as well. The UI looks complicated but the camera picks up your face automatically without any need for calibration or anything, so it's plug-and-play to start with.
The curves needed a lot of adjusting for my tastes and I disabled all the translations and pitch completely. Just used yaw and a tiny bit of roll with big deadzones so it's not constantly moving around.
My only gripe is the response to head movements is quite laggy and a bit jerky. Increasing smoothing makes the lag worse. I guess it's the limitations of using face recognition over IR, but for a free program it's still very good.
I might try Free Track, although that requires DIY IR sensors to work. |
