Got into this in closing stages of Beta and been playing ever since.  Could not ask for a better free to play game.
I've got up to lvl 6 tanks and yes the grind is very long to next level, although last night I got 10k experience in one session.  Only 15k to next level which will be my first 'Heavy'.

I keep hovering over the Buy gold option for Premium Account but can never bring myself to do it.  IMO it's too expensive.  £8.95 per month for Prem account but then there's a lot of micro payments on top of that - premium ammo, crew training, free exp transfer etc.  Considering WOW is £8 odd per month and all inclusive and argueably a better game, I can't see how they can justify their prices.  I'd quite happily pay the £8.95 if it was all inclusive but I feel if I didn't top up with other stuff I'd still be at a disadvantage over people willing to pay out more.  I've heard that Prem accounts people regularly pay about £20 per month!
So I'll stick with the free version and keep slogging away.

Don't let that put you off though - it's still very playable as free to play, just takes longer to advance.  I still get my fair share of kills against Prem players.

I have got the Premium as it helps level up quicker. Now got my first heavy...a Tiger.....what fun!

I can't help putting in a comparison with TF2.

Sniper - Tank Destroyer
Spy - SPG!
Scout - Light Tank
Soldier - Medium Tank
Heavy - err Heavy Tank

Not gone premium although I did spend £8.45 to get a mound of gold which I've used for converting old exp on previous tanks and bought a few extra garage slots. Still have plenty left too.

I do like the stand offs when the game has been on for a minute or two and there's no enemy detected on the radar so you start inching forward and then all hell lets loose. Really good fun and it's FREE!

Hehe, good try but SPG needs the other tanks to get any vision on the enemy positions and I don't recall the spy having a BF gun!  I've just started playing as artillery and that really adds a new dimension to the game. That Grille is dog slow until you get an engine upgrade.

Played this ages ago when it all just kicked off. Updated the game a few nights ago and tried again and have to say that it's good fun, just need bigger tank .

Soon I saw "HP" I thought oh dear. Arcade game. Also when you aim do you have to account for trajectory?

A little - more aiming towards the front of a moving Light tank.  Pretty much everything else you can aim for the middle.

Decided to take the plunge and bought premium for a month - I figured I've played the game so much I should give the developer something

Now got my first Heavy (as of 5 mins ago) - German Tiger :arty:  nice to be at the top of the rankings for once although I'm 0 for 2 atm.
