Funnily enough there's a 'Tanks' program about the Sturmgeschütz on the History Channel now. Seems they made about 11,000 of them, as they were very effective and cheaper to make than turreted tanks. Stugs had knocked out 33,000 enemy tanks by the end of the war. Not as 'glamorous' as the infamous Tigers and Panthers, but an impressive ratio.
The Golden Joystick awards are coming up and wargaming.net are promising some very nice (bribes) bonuses to the WoT community if you vote for World of Tanks as best MMO of the year and it wins!!!
World of Tanks has now been updated to version 8.0 a major release. Significant graphical updates and physics! You can now fall off edges and push the enemy over ledges. Lots of extra detail in battle performance, you can see how your compare to the rest of your team.

What I don't like in this update is that the Tech Tree is now horizontal and scrollable. The previous tech tree was all on one screen. Don't like that aspect but the rest of it is still great fun.

50% off equipment is very yummy along with the 5x first victory bonus. Really looking forward to version 8.1 as finally the British Tanks will appear. They are also experimenting with the purchase of premium ammo using regular credits. It will be interesting to see what they release.
