If she's mostly interested in gaming, and the games already specified are the target for performance, she could quite easily get a computer for much less and still not run in to any performance bottlenecks. A decent computer will still handing all the other regular non-gaming related tasks without any issues.
It's not specified whether she has all the other accessories needed or not, but spending less on the tower will allow for more money to be spent on a better/additional monitor, keyboard mouse, speakers/headphones, a nice chair, etc.
If she's not interested or comfortable building the computer then I wouldn't worry about that, go pre-built (even though it'll certainly cost more), and if she's buying a pre-built computer I also probably wouldn't want to concern her with whether overclocking is something she'd want to consider.
In my opinion, a slightly cheaper computer with some nicer accessories to go with it sound like the better option for her. |
