I was going to get one until I realised that you can't really play stuff stored on your device. It's geared up more towards streaming from online services. But for £20 odd, I might still get one as the community will no doubt hack it to bits and release better firmware on it anyway
I think its bit of a myth this whole 'bedding in' period tbh. I think the days of your ISP 'testing' your connection over a period of days to ensure best connection is long gone now. Think that was more for ADSL rather than fibre. It should configure your connection pretty quickly and work out what it's capable of in no time at all.

What are you using to test the speed with? I'd take the Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test results with a pinch of salt. I've tested mine and it showed only 40mb, but then two minutes later I downloaded a test file and was getting over 8mb/s, so the results aren't always accurate. Personally I find actual throughput a better indication of connection 'speed' |
