I just watched the sony conference an hour ago and I'd like to see someone try and explain how it didn't blow microsofts conference out of the water?

Yeah, Sony's conference blew Microsoft's away. The Playstation games look technically far superior to the Xbox ones.

The 6 tflop Xbox sounds very interesting though, but I wonder if it'll be old news by the end of 2017 since we've already got PC cards in excess of 10 tflops.

Only winners from the conference are the gamers.

For me I prefered the MS one but I have always prefered the Xbox Exclusives, saying that Horizon and God of War looks great.

It just feels to me that Microsoft has resorted to a by the numbers conference. Literally for several years in a row we've had Gears of War, Halo, and Forza. I know they're the big exclusive franchises, but I'd like to see a bit more originality from them.

Sony also had some standard franchises, but they're not yearly releases like the Microsoft ones, so I don't feel burnt out on them.

I'm not a console gamer. I'm purely and only interested in a cheap 4K UHD disc spinner. So for me MS have announced a console that can do this along with release date and pricing. Sony have not. So in that regard MS were better for me.

But for those of you that play console games you clearly are looking at it from a different point of view.

Indeed.  The Kinda Funny guys summed it up pretty well for me - Microsoft conference was great, Sony's was just better.  Same as last year.

I didn't even know there were people who didn't play console games on the PS boards, you don't have to be a console gamer to recognise there were some decent games on during the Sony show.
