If you have a bank account attached to your account, you may need to log in and check that you have not selected it to "Auto Renew" as it will certainly do that at the end of your trial. Turn this off and you'll be fine.

I'd use your trial now to see if you like it because if you use it on Drive Club, you'll only have 30 days use before having to buy a subscription after if you find you enjoy it

Thanks mate, thing is i am new to the PlayStation world and wont be able to use it until i have a PS4.

1. You can operate your PSN account without ever entering card details - I operate voucher only.

2. I think you have to actively setup auto renew rather than find the way to switch it off.

Can you use more than one of the 30 day codes ??

i.e. get one from my FB account, one for my wifes etc

I don't think you can, but what's to stop you trying?

If you can't, then you can create another account on the PS3, and use it on there, but then you will have your available games spread out (and some unavailable)if you decide to continue with the subscription "proper".

One massive issue that is putting me off making the switch to PS4 is the speed of PSN.
Updates & downloads seem to take forever compared to XBL; I picked up a PS3 primarily to play Last of Us and get a feel for the console and I had a free 30 day sub code for PS   - the length of time it took to download and install BF3 was ridiculous and has really put me off making the switch.
