Spot on. One of the first things we were taught is it's a good thing to share food. Anyone would be welcome at a Gurdwara although you need to observe some conventions, shoes off, head covered, sobriety, which is hardly onerous.
Being a Sikh I go to a lot of Gurdwaras up and down the Country and I'd say the food is always good, restricted to vegetarian food as you say and simple but it's always good quality. At my two local gurdwaras the food is better than that churned out at the award winning curry house on the high street near us. |
