When I make a new starter for the first week or 2 I bin most of it daily and top up the small remaining bit this should bubble vigorously as it’s a high ratio food to starter if that makes sense, I’d take out 50 g of starter feed it with 50 water 50 flour leave overnight out somewhere not too cold see how it looks then, you only need a tiny amount to build up pre bake too much and your feed isn’t going very far if that makes sense? |
