Indeed a bit much. And I've found that most other children on seem to like the white stodgy value stuff which is rather sad IMO.

There is always the option to just use an oven to bake the bread. I love kneeding by hand and letting it proof next to the open fire. Problem is keeping my children away from the dough

I much prefer to go to  decent local butcher or greengrocers but failing that I want see lots of game, offal,well hung beef and the kind of exotic vegetables now found at Morrisons
