Not had a chance yet. I was out last night and tonight I'm doing a rum tasting session with friends. Soon though...

i have to say, i do love tanquerey gin, lime and slim.  especially in spoons as its only £3.25 for a double.  at home, my missus has the portabello road gin but i cant say its anything special.

I'm almost finished my tanqueray and then I get to open my Adnams copper house gin. Can't wait!

I post a few cocktails to instagram/facebook and I'm legendarily hard to buy for - expensive tastes - so this year I got several gins
Favourites -
Gin Mare for a G T
Daikin for a G T or a Martini
Sipsmith for a Martini
Gordons for a Vesper

Eden Mill Hopped Gin - a very different kettle of fish.  If you're tried Genever in Belgium or the Netherlands it's similar.  Treacly.

Unimpressed with Daffy.

I can heartily recommend the distillery tour at Sipsmiths.  Ours was run by the marketing manager who was entertaining and engaging.  You get a generous sample of their range.  Ours was in winter and we got a hot gin and tonic - Gin, tonic syrup and hot water, really delicious!

Why do you have to wait? I have lots of gins and I dip in and out of them depending on what flavour/garnish I fancy [emoji2]

Agree about daffy - thoroughly unremarkable for the price point

I've started to have a quick look at the Gin section, each time i'm at the Supermarket (Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys).  Quite often they have something marked up as reduced.

Trouble is, i'm not sure (yet) what constitutes a good price.

They had Bulldog Gin (already have a bottle of that) at £17 a bottle the other day which was probably decent, since I remember paying circa £20 for it.

Hendricks Gin seems to be rigid at £28 everywhere I go.
