Agree with the sugar (Granulated sweetener for me) part, as for what I drink it's water or pepsi max if it's available, I don't like any instant and I have tried loads including Azera I find that too weak.

I have done a barista course and paid for it myself, was good but i'm still cack at latte art ha ha, and now I am lazy and just use an automatic it's just too easy and it makes it just as good without me faffing around .

I know if I bought a load of kit, I wouldn't have time for the faffing around either (don't mean that as a derogatory remark to those who like to do all that by the way) and I would end up not using it.

What do you think is the best route for quality v convenience? I'm currently on dolce gusto and like it for convenience.

I last had sugar in drinks about 40 years ago.  I had a particularly bad hangover and made my normal morning coffee with 2 sugars and it was revolting. I poured it down the sink and tried one without sugar and have never taken it in coffee or tea since.

The only instant that I can drink is Carte Noire and I have a liking for Rijo red beans at the minute

As I said before, I went from dolce gusto to tassimo to nespresso and the nespresso is the best out of the three.

I have tried Dolce gusto and errm yeah, but having said that it was an instant Nescafe drink, god it was yuck! if I was going to buy one it would have to be a Nespresso one and atm I am toying with the idea of getting 1 to tied me over until Delonghi fix mine, i'm looking at the Lattissima   one, that is made by Delonghi, in fact most even dolce gusto are made by them as well.

I would say aeropress is best for least faff. But a standard espresso machine is pretty easy, but I do generally just drink espresso. Can't get much easier than that.

Don't understand why some people prefer pod machines over bean to cup - BtC tastes better and is only slightly more hassle in that you have a bit more mess to clean up every once and a while.

I prefer my Bean to Cup Machine only its unwell and the way Delonghi are shaping up I may be a while without it, I mean it's still here as I am waiting for them to sort out a collection , their too bloody slow, it's still in warranty as well.
