No not really not on our shore's anyway, we have some Mackerel and some native Cod left these days as a natural resource, it's hardly worth the effort.
However, it kind of puts us in our place in the middle east, historically they have wanted full Naval presence in the Mediterranean, now they have, its job done in Syria. Suppose something could spin out of control in Syria or Iraq as Turkey likes to play silly buggers. However, for me Russia will turn their attention back to what was Russian Empire in the Baltics, but Putin will use friendlies inside these countries, so not to evoke any direct response from NATO etc. |
