It would be the same as claiming that there was an investigation into a potential candidate for working with children, even if it was only superficial, hampered and restricted by a board biased towards wanting to employ them.
"You can look, but you can't look for long and only so deep and don't talk to anyone else unless we say you can... and what about."
Imagine a school board telling it's investigators they could only look into child sex allegations on a highly restricted and limited time scale against a head teacher they are desperate to employ.
Especially when the prospective head teacher openly lied and became aggressive and unhinged during his interview.
Can't see the parents of the schools pupils being happy to conclude that an 'investigation' has taken place and therefore the matter is settled. |
