I voted this morning before work; one vote closer to ridding us of Brown

As somebody who would NEVER vote Tory living in an ultra-safe Tory seat my vote is only ever a gesture.  However, after a little deliberation I've gone with my heart and voted Labour.  Until a couple of days ago I felt certain I would go Lib Dem this time, but on reflection I realised that what the Labour party stand for reflects my own opinion of society more than any other party.
Having said that, my head tells me that the "best" result would be a tiny Tory majority (never thought I'd hear myself say that), because the next government (whoever wins) will be incredibly unpopular in a very short time and will be ripe for a massive defeat at the next election.  If Cameron has a small majority at least it limits his options to do anything too damaging to the country.
I'm sure this view isn't too representative of General Chat contributors but hey, that's politics!

I have no problem with protest votes, and considered voting Green to do so.. but BNP as a protest vote. I know I couldn't sleep at night.

UKIP. Not that it matters hugely. My constituency is a Labour stronghold and best hope for me might be a Liberal surge. Amused to see we had a leaflet from the Socialist Labour party though.

Have a look at the website:

Was it put together by a child of five on a Spectrum?

After seeing the poll results on the Pre voting thread and now this one, I hope they're a close reflection on the national vote

I changed my mind and voted UKIP.  Nobody else has crashed a plane in the pursuit of victory.  In Election Campaign Top Trumps you just can't beat it...they got my cross!
