Hard drugs include nicotine and alcohol by technical definition, that being any nervous system effecting substance that can lead to physical addition. Soft drugs are those nervous system effecting substances that are not considered to be physically addictive.
However the general use the terms hard or soft with regards to nervous system effecting substances is ambiguous and subjective.
What people categorise as soft or hard drugs varies, so it's not really a great term to use - although I think I understand what your are implying - i.e the likes of Heroin of cocaine, it could be that your list differs from mine or someone else's regarding others. |
